Diagram on Page 82 will give you the Number of the Fret at which to play a particular
chord for a given note. For example, if the music calls for an "F" Chord
with a melody note in the third space of the treble Clef (a "C" note),
you would play a standard "F" chord at the 3rd Fret for the Actual Notation.
However, many Tenor banjo players have learned the Octave Notation. This is shown
in the diagram on page 82A. Now we will use the same example as before. If the
music calls for an "F" chord with a melody note in the third space of
the Treble Clef (a "C" note), you would play s Standard "F"
melody chord at the 15th Fret.
